About this Speaker

Erin Yang joined Workday Ventures in 2020 to lead Workday strategic investing and help accelerate the growth of portfolio companies, leveraging her technology and product experience. In addition to investing, she is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing our relationships with disruptive enterprise technology companies, other investment partners, and industry thought leaders. Prior to Workday Ventures, Erin was a product leader in Workday’s Products and Technology organization for eight years, supporting growth from $134M to $3B+ in revenue and from 900 to 12,000+ employees. She led the technology product management team for four years, growing the team seven times over while scaling the technology platform that powers all Workday applications. This platform includes reporting and analytics, business process framework, integrations, infrastructure, and more. More recently, she led the new Workday Extend initiative from incubation to launch in a multi-faceted leadership role, directly managing sales, strategy, developer experience, product, and engineering organizations. Erin is an active supporter of diversity initiatives as a member of Workday’s Belonging and Diversity Executive Council and a speaker at events for women in technology and leadership. Prior to joining Workday in 2011 as its first technology product manager of collaboration, Erin was a marketing and analytics engineer at Circle of Moms, the largest and fastest-growing online community for moms, where she oversaw user engagement. Before Circle of Moms, Erin was a consultant at Accenture Technology Labs, the incubation and R&D arm of Accenture, where she focused on enterprise collaboration and rich internet applications. Erin was named to the San Francisco Business Times’ 40 Under 40 Class of 2018. Erin holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering as well as a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
