Dale Davis Jones is an IBM Vice President and Distinguished Engineer with more than 25 years experience successfully designing and implementing business and technology transformation solutions. Dale leads a global team of technology leaders in the design of innovative solutions for clients with complex Enterprise and IT Infrastructure transformation challenges. She is also the global leader of GTS architects, focused on the enabling their success, through employee engagement, architecture standards, expertise enablement, profession certification and client innovation initiatives.
In her previous CHQ role, Dale managed and modernized the IBM Corporate Technical Recognition programs. She pioneered the IBM technical eminence program and utilized her extensive technical and business expertise to modernize and simplify IBM's Distinguished Engineer program levering cloud and analytics. She also designed and implemented the IBM Manager Champion Group leadership program. Dale has held several key roles across IBM including hardware and services offering development and architecture, CTO of the IBM GTS Solution Design Center of Excellence, leading a worldwide tech sales team of over 800 architects, and specialists. In the role of CTO IBM's Server Services product line she led the full lifecycle development project based and managed service offerings ensuring their technical and architectural viability. Dale also led client teams in IBM Global Business Services for almost 10 years leveraging her deep expertise in SAP workflow automation and master data management to consistently deliver successful engagements. She developed several IBM master data standards, chaired the SAP Workflow & BPM board, promoting education & networking through webinars & education conferences. She actively mentors IBMers across the world and serves on several IBM Technical Talent selection boards . She is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology Leadership Team, the IBM Black executive Council and the chair of the IBM External Honors Board.
